the hairy hill = Pu'u Huluhulu, a very large mound way up the Saddle Road between Mauna Kea & Mauna Loa, on the Big Island. though surrounded by desolation, Pu'u Huluhulu has lots of trees & plants & birds, and you could spend a whole afternoon walking around in there. quite nice.
